Erik Jan Hanussen (b.1889-d.1933) was born Herschel Steinschneider in Austria, was a clairvoyant, mentalist, occultist, and astrologer, active in Germany during the Weimar Republic. He converted from his family's Jewish faith to better camouflage himself within the emerging Nazi government.
Biography

Acclaimed in his lifetime as a hypnotist, mentalist, occultist and astrologer, Hanussen was active in Weimar RepublicGermany and also at the beginning of Nazi Germany. He is said to have instructed Adolf Hitler in performance and the achievement of dramatic effect,[1] and for treating Hitler during his depression.
Early years
