It’s hard to imagine a PB&J ever being fit for the upper crust. The elementary school staple features three, no-frills ingredients and usually costs peanuts. That is, until now. One brave Chicago restaurant has just released the world’s most expensive PB&J for the sickly sweet sum of $350.
The bougie sammy was dreamt up by brothers Matthew and Josh McCahill, who recently opened the new West Loop joint PB&J. Though the restaurant’s acronym actually stands for Pizza, Beer & Jukebox, the duo decided to make the decadent sandwich the star attraction.
Known as “The Golden Goose,” the new riff on the American classic is jam-packed with an array of fancy ingredients that have been sourced from all over the globe. The brothers were inspired to create the sandwich after stumbling across a $200 PB&J that only featured a gold toothpick. The pair decided they could top that by adding more layers, literally and figuratively, of luxury.

Why Our Customers Love Us
Great variety of breakfast foods (many specialty french toasts), huge portions, fantastic prices and cute, modern setting. Split corned beef hash and bread pudding french toast with a friend and still had enough food to bring home for later. Corned beef hash well seasoned (looking forward to trying the sandwich for lunch). French toast was fluffy and buttery, the jam and syrup set it off. Waitress was very friendly. So glad we have this gem of a restaurant in the neighborhood.
From the food to the service, Bacon and Jam was amazing. Shirley was incredible and kept a smile on our faces the whole time with her infectious energy. The food was amazing. Come hungry or split some meals because the portions are huge. We got three meals and ended up with a Bacon Avocado omelette with hashbrowns and a side of pancakes with berries, the corned beef hash and a side of red velvet French toast, and apples w/caramel French toast. Everything was delicious and decadent. Prepare yourself for a wonderful nap/food coma when you leave.
