Overall impression: This biography leaves out all the best parts of the Beatles story: meeting Elvis and Dylan, traveling to India, LSD, the rooftop concert and the road to their breakup. It also left out that they were in Hamburg playing strip clubs and smoking hash. Why even bring it up if you’re going to tell half the tale? Children deserve the TRUTH! This book’s haIf-take is encapsulated with a last page that basically says, “for 6 years, the Beatles were great” and features a Sgt. Pepper era illustration.
