Thomas Haden Church (born Thomas Richard McMillen; June 17, ) is an American actor. After starring in the s sitcom Wings and playing the lead for two seasons in Ned & Stacey (–), Church became known for his film work, including his role of Lyle van de Groot in George of the Jungle (), his Academy Award-nominated performance in Sideways (), his role as the Marvel Comics villain Sandman in the superhero films Spider-Man 3 () and Spider-Man: No Way Home (), as well as his starring roles in Over the Hedge (), Smart People (), Easy A (), We Bought a Zoo (), Max (), and Hellboy (). He also made his directorial debut with Rolling Kansas (). In , he starred as antagonist Agent Stone in the Peacock post-apocalyptic action comedy series Twisted Metal.

Thomas Haden Church speaks with a voice reminiscent of a lethargic roll of thunder, an easygoing spirit, and a remarkable ability to maneuver the English language. Standing 6 foot 1, he seems to take things in stride, making the dichotomy of life on the wild range and life on the silver screen seem like the most natural match in the world.
