    List of Vice-Presidents of India: The Vice-Presidential elections 2022 to elect the 14th Vice-President of India are scheduled to be held on August 6, 2022. The announcement regarding the elections was made by the Election Commission of India.

    The winner of the Vice-Presidential election 2022 will replace the incumbent Vice President Venkaih Naidu.  BJP, which is also a ruling party, on July 16, 2022, nominated Jagdeep Dhankar as a Vice Presidential candidate while on July 17, Margaret Alva was nominated as the opposition's candidate for Vice-President. 

    The Vice-President of India is the second-highest constitutional office in the Government of India and is the ex-officio chairman of the Rajya Sabha. The Vice-President is elected by the members of an electoral college consisting of the members of both houses of the Parliament and State Legislature has no role in this election. M Venkaiah Naidu is the current Vice President of India who assumed office on 11 August 2017.
