The Street Naming Committee of the Wrocław Lovers' Society has been operating for over 60 years as the only advisory body of the City Council specializing in onomastics. We are a unique institution in Poland, independent of politicians and providing substantive supervision over such matters as patrons for streets, avenues, roundabouts, squares, etc., naming conventions, consultations on new names for bridges, parks and hills. Many outstanding scientists and social activists have worked and work in our Commission, and we care for our common heritage.
