      Allāh took his two eyes while he was about 2 or 3 years of age. That is, he was still small. May Allāh preserve him.

      However, blindness and lack of sight did not hinder him from seeking knowledge.

      He sought knowledge, memorized, travelled to the scholars, and studied under them and read to them.

      And he is from the scholars of Madīnah.

      And he has authored many books, and all praise and favour are due to Allāh.
